Teen Advisory Group (T.A.G.)

Are you interested in making a difference? Join the TEEN Advisory Group at the William K. Sanford Town Library! By joining this group, you will have the opportunity to plan TEEN events and programs. Recently, this motivated group helped design and/or ran the very successful programs of The Kindness Club, the Knitting Club, night programs of Harry Potter, the Hunger Games, and Divergent, just to name a few!

Knitting Club

Join fellow teens as they knit or crochet, or they can teach you how. You can work on your own project, learn something new, or be a part of a group project. In March, 2016 the Knitting Club proudly donated blankets to the YWCA that were constructed of 6" square blocks crocheted or knitted by the Club, the adult Knitting Club, and members of the community.

Interest in Pinterest

Try your hand at making awesome projects found on Pinterest. We will make the projects you love to look at, but are afraid to attempt by yourself.

Teen Chefs

We will create a new, tasty treat every month! Learn to decorate cakes, make candy sushi, or hand paint chocolates - these are only a few examples of this fun event.

Battle of the Bands

Are you ready to rock? Be a part of the show, or a supportive member of the audience. It's a great night either way! Entry forms can be picked up in the Teen Room, or go to our website. The winner will be selected by professional judges. Free.

Writing Workshops

A great opportunity to learn with a professional writer and learn how to express yourself effectively for school assignments or college applications. Often, there are follow up sessions to receive feedback on your final draft.

Nameless 6th-8th Grade Book Club

Pick up your copy of that month’s book in the Teen Room, and then join us for snacks, a book discussion, and activities based on the book.

9th-12th Grade BYO (Bring Your Own) Books and Chill Club:

Bring in any YA book you would like to discuss. Get other great book recommendations, meet fellow book lovers, and enjoy a snack!
