FUNDRAISER – CAR WASH TICKETS FOR SALE!
During the month of October, the Friends will be selling Hoffman Car Wash tickets. There are two choices: full-service car washes for $27 and exterior car washes for $10. Plan ahead for the holidays — these make great stocking stuffers — or for birthdays, etc. The tickets do not expire, and the Friends receive 50% of the price which will support our Library! Look for the Friends table display October 21-29 to purchase your tickets in person.
Thanks for supporting the Friends of the Library.
BOOK SALE – DECEMBER 9
The Friends will also be holding a book sale at the Library on December 9 from 1-5. This will be a smaller book sale than our spring sale. We will have available: mysteries, fiction, romances and children’s books.
NEW MEMBERS WELCOME!
W.K. Sanford Town Library Friends welcome new members.
If you’re not sure what we’re about, the Friends is a support organization to the Colonie Town Library. There are numerous ways the Friends help, such as paying for items that are not covered in the library’s annual budget. Money is raised by selling used books or holding special fundraisers. Here are some of the ways we have helped the library with the funds raised.
Your assistance is needed in many areas. Whether you can volunteer just an hour or on a regular basis, we can use you! There are many opportunities. Beginning in May when the Colonie Farmers Market opens at the Crossings on Saturday mornings, volunteers are needed in two-hour shifts to assist with used-book sales. You can also choose to assist at just one event such as selling raffle tickets, assembling food orders, etc. for an hour or two on a specific day.
It’s easy to join. Annual membership dues are modestly priced:
- $15 Individual Annual Membership
- $25 Household Annual Membership
- $10 Senior Annual Membership
- $250 Business Annual Membership
Just click HERE to pay membership dues by credit card.
Please try us out by attending one of the meetings listed below.
Monthly meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month at 6:30 pm at the Library’s Youth Services Activities Room.

ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL SEASON AT THE BOOK NOOK
With the help of many volunteers, the Book Nook raised more than $5,400 this season. Thank you to all who helped … those who staffed the Book Nook (including teens), those who made sure the books were shelved properly, and to those who donated and purchased. We couldn’t do it without all of you!
Thank you for supporting the Friends of the Library.
