Showcase Your Talent!

BATTLE OF THE BANDS – NEW  DATE!:  Saturday, MAY 6 @7:00-10:00PM

The Teen Battle of the Bands is coming this spring.  Last year’s winners were Royal Flush! All genres of musical groups are welcome to compete. The top three winners will receive cash prizes! All groups must have a minimum of two members between the ages of 13-18 to compete; exceptions can be considered. Local professionals judge the contest, and refreshments are available for purchase.  Applications to participate in the event are available in the Teen Room or online. The entry deadline is APRIL 28

OPEN MIC: Sunday, April 9 @2:00-4:00

Share your creativity and talents – sign up to perform at our Open Mic event!  Adults and teens (16 years old and up) should contact Librarian Rebekah Jarvis-Girtler at bekah@colonielibrary.org to request a timeslot to perform a song or read a poem.

Hannaford Helps the Library: February 1-28

The Hannaford Supermarket located at 98 Wolf Road in Albany has generously selected the Friends of the Library as this month’s “Bag for a Cause” recipient!

Purchase one or more blue “Good Karma” reusable grocery bags at this store and the Friends of the Library will receive $1 per bag. It’s a great way to show your love for the library and the environment.
